About Us
VisionWR is a group of volunteers united by a shared vision for caring, inclusive, and climate-safe communities. VisionWR aims to bring together people and organizations across Waterloo Region to collaborate around mobilizing for the October 2026 municipal and regional elections. Together, we work to engage candidates and voters around the vision for an inclusive and sustainable future of shared well-being for all.
Through our collaborations, we have identified social and environmental priorities and explored what kind of regional and municipal policies advance them. Meanwhile, we seek to build democratic capacity by running workshops and events for candidates and voters, and by recruiting volunteers to join us in this work. Finally, via our web page and social media, we aim to share information, organizing tools, and perspectives on issues.
VisionWR avoids endorsing specific candidates. At the same time, we hope our work will help voters and candidates who share our vision for the region connect with each other.
Thank you for visiting us! Please spread the word, vote October 26, and contact us at [email protected] if you’d like to volunteer with us this fall.
This website is work of many!
